Sparkle and Shine Darling!

I am very happy to announce that one of the most wonderful stores to call Miami home is officially open to the public: Mrs. Adrienne Bosh’s Sparkle and Shine Darling Boutique!

I was lucky enough to attend one of the fabulous pre-opening events this past Friday. I had heard a bit about the store before attending this event and knew that my precious pink seersucker dress would fit in perfectly! I paired it with my nude Vince Camuto pumps, and of course a sparkly headband to match the very name of the store.

I often imagine places that I have not yet been to as being more spectacular than they really are, but this was NOT the case! As soon as I entered the boutique and saw fluffy tulle skirts on glittery hangers, I knew that I would be coming back frequently! The store is home to a variety of amazing brands and wonderful statement pieces for both your home and wardrobe.

If you can drag yourself away from the merchandise, you’ll have a sweet surprise awaiting you. There is a darling little cafe where you can grab a few macrons to perk you up after a rambunctious shopping spree!

Just when it seemed like this place couldn’t get any better, I stumbled upon the party room! Yes you read that correctly. I reverted into my five year old self when I walked into this amazing space. From the glittery pink walls to the Wonderlandesqu landscape, I was ecstatic. I seriously think I may need to throw my next birthday party here!

If you are in Miami, I would highly recommend that you stop by! I know that I will definitely be going back to my favorite girly spot in the very near future!

Be sure to let me know what you think about the store if you stop by!

Once Upon a Dream

I’ve been fascinated by princesses for as long as I can remember! From The Little Mermaid, to The Princess Diaries, to Rapunzel, and everything in between. The Dresses and lifestyle seemed so thrilling and ideal.

Recently, the parade scene from The Princess Diaries 2 has been on my mind. For those of you who aren’t as well acquainted with this movie as I am, in this scene Mia, the heir to the Genovian throne, tells a little girl that all girls are princesses. I always thought this was an adorable moment, but lately this idea has really been resonating with me. Being a princess goes way beyond the tiara, which is something I first realized when I began training for the Disney Princess Half Marathon, so I’ve decided to start a series all about what I believe being a princess means.

This dress made me feel like a princess (the little boy who called me, “princessa,” while taking these pictures helped too!) and very Aurora-esqu, so today’s lesson will come from Sleeping Beauty, and no it will not be about getting enough sleep! The quality the makes Aurora a role model for any princess, is her ability to dream. In the context of the movie she sings about seeing her true love Phillipe, “once upon a dream,” but this can apply to so many important dreams! Having a goal, and striving to make it happen, is a very princess-like thing to do! Whether it be working towards attending your dream college, taking art lessons to hone your skills, or simply becoming a happier person, your goals are so important! So keep dreaming, and you too can say that you’ve seen your goals come true, “once upon a dream!”

What dreams are you working towards making a reality?

Delightful Disney Recap!

Happy Wanderlust Wednesday! Today I decided to do a little recap of my exciting Disney adventures with Skye! Right before the trip, Skye surprised me with an adorable pair of Disney Vans! (Ariel themed, of course!) We had a blast with our shoes, which match our personalities!

The first thing we did once we made our way to Magic Kingdom, was to pick up a pair of ears for Skye. She of course chose a villainous pair! We took a couple (well.. a couple dozen?) pictures in front of my house (aka Cinderella’s castle!) before we got all hot and sticky.

Then we were off to The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! After this, we had to ride Splash Mountain. Now don’t you dare laugh, but Splash Mountain is the one ride I am always terrified to get on. Put me on Space Mountain, or Even Island of Adventure’s The Hulk, and I’m fine, but there is something so scary about the little animatronic fox plotting Briar Rabbit’s demise. Despite my terror, I conquered my fears for my mommy and Skye! Once this was out of the way, we crammed in as many rides as we could! Between running from ride to ride, we enjoyed lunch at Pecos Bill, and of course since it was a scorcher, a delectable Dole Whip!

All in all, it was a lovely trip, and such an amazing way to celebrate Skye and my 10 year, “friendaversary!” What have you celebrated at The Happiest Place on Earth? -PS
