As I promised in my last post, this post is all about The Fairy Godsisters! I was lucky enough to find The Fairy Godsisters in their earliest stages. Megan and Erin make some of the prettiest, and most unique ears in the game.
Let’s start off with some general facts about this awesome etsy. First off, this is a family business. Megan and Erin are sisters in law and the cutest BFFs! You can really tell that there is so much love in every headband they make. If quality is a concern for you, have no fear. These ears are sewn together beautifully, and made with high quality products. The ears are stuffed, as opposed to the flatter unstuffed ears many shops make. This honestly made them look so much more, “finished.”
Finally, let’s talk about comfort. Something that is not often taken into consideration when it comes to park ears is comfort. When there are already so many factors that could take away from your comfort levels in play, the last thing you need is an uncomfortable headband squeezing behind your ears. The Fairy Godsisters must have sprinkled magical fairy comfort dust onto their ears, because both pairs were super comfortable. I didn’t have to take a single break all day!!
If all of this wasn’t enough to convince you that these ears are awesome, they’re just down right adorable! The Lilly print I loved for obvious reasons, but the Briar Rose really took me by surprise. The big tulle bow was such a unique and beautiful touch!
I paired the Lilly ears with a hot pink crop top from Nordstrom Rack, and mint shorts from J. Crew. This cute color combo matched the print perfectly, and was super comfortable!
I took a girlier approach when I was Styling the Briar Rose pair, and really took a cue from Aurora. This sweet bow back dress from Macy’s was a steal at under $20, and looked great!
How do you style your park ears?

Hello everyone! I have been on temporary hiatus, because let’s be honest, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day! Between traveling, auditions, rehearsals and shows I have not been able to make blogging a priority! Be on the lookout for some life updates coming soon, but for now, enjoy this little post about Easter!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays, second only to Christmas. Besides the religious connotations, which are very important to me, Easter is all about renewal. There is something about it that serves as a reminder that every morning we wake up and are in charge of who we will be. The possibilities are truly endless!
Another thing I love about Easter, is that it is the holiday of florals! This year I wore this gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer dress that I scored during last summers after party sale. The pink flowers are so beautiful and springy!
I hope that you all had a lovely and relaxing Easter!
As it is the first week of December, I realize that it’s time to exchange my Fall outfits for my favorite festive wintery clothes, but before I do, I have to share what may just be my absolute favorite fall dress, as well as the story behind the rustic display in my backyard.
My family’s roots are in rural Illinois, but they have lived all over the world. From India to Spain to South America, and finally, Miami. While my uncle was in town for Thanksgiving, he helped me put up a few items we brought with us from my Great-grandfather’s farm. The hardest part of this project was digging out enough dirt to put the pump into the ground. In the end, it came together wonderfully, and is a beautiful reminder of my roots, and that hard work is always worth it.
Now onto this fabulous outfit! This Lush dress from Nordstrom is sooo cute, and because the material is so light it is perfect for a warm Miami Fall. I did have to tack the front together to avoid a severe wardrobe malfunction, but I adore the keyhole that perfectly frames my monogram necklace. My Jack Rogers flats are the perfect fall flat, and have been one of my favorites all season!
So say goodbye to fall foliage, and hello to the cozy Christmas season!
The first day of school has always been one of the most exciting days of the year for me, (once I’ve had my coffee) and this year is no exception! There is something so thrilling about the prospect of learning new things, and meeting new people.
I know that not everyone feels the same way. In high school, I used to dread the first day back to school. It wasn’t the classes, or even the teachers, it was my fear of not, “fitting in.” I have always loved learning, and that will never change. The older I got, the more I realized that there is honestly a social group for everyone. I may have a type-A personality, be choir president, and adore literature, but that doesn’t mean I’m weird, and neither are you!
This year, I encourage you to embrace your individuality, no matter how difficult that may be. Believe me when I say the world is so much more than who you hung out with in Middle and High School, or even college! So get out there and learn not just in the classroom, but in everything you do!
