As I promised in my last post, this post is all about The Fairy Godsisters! I was lucky enough to find The Fairy Godsisters in their earliest stages. Megan and Erin make some of the prettiest, and most unique ears in the game.
Let’s start off with some general facts about this awesome etsy. First off, this is a family business. Megan and Erin are sisters in law and the cutest BFFs! You can really tell that there is so much love in every headband they make. If quality is a concern for you, have no fear. These ears are sewn together beautifully, and made with high quality products. The ears are stuffed, as opposed to the flatter unstuffed ears many shops make. This honestly made them look so much more, “finished.”
Finally, let’s talk about comfort. Something that is not often taken into consideration when it comes to park ears is comfort. When there are already so many factors that could take away from your comfort levels in play, the last thing you need is an uncomfortable headband squeezing behind your ears. The Fairy Godsisters must have sprinkled magical fairy comfort dust onto their ears, because both pairs were super comfortable. I didn’t have to take a single break all day!!
If all of this wasn’t enough to convince you that these ears are awesome, they’re just down right adorable! The Lilly print I loved for obvious reasons, but the Briar Rose really took me by surprise. The big tulle bow was such a unique and beautiful touch!
I paired the Lilly ears with a hot pink crop top from Nordstrom Rack, and mint shorts from J. Crew. This cute color combo matched the print perfectly, and was super comfortable!
I took a girlier approach when I was Styling the Briar Rose pair, and really took a cue from Aurora. This sweet bow back dress from Macy’s was a steal at under $20, and looked great!
How do you style your park ears?
Ears / Shorts / Shirt / Dress
Besides music, there are two things that get me really excited. Disney, and dresses. Put those two together and I’m the happiest girl on earth!
I will be doing a series of posts on all four of the dresses from the LC Lauren Conrad Minnie Rocks the Dots collection, as well as the Sephora Minnie Rocks the Dots collection. All of the dresses I will be talking about are on sale for about $25.00 at Kohl’s, and with coupons, you might even get a lower price!
Now let’s start by talking about this gorgeous dress! Although the color is called “ditsy red,” it is more of a coral color that leans towards a peachy pink. The color and cut are both incredibly flattering. The combination of the pretty color, adorable Minnie print, and the flattering shape make this comfortable knit dress a perfect park outfit.
I think it would be an adorable option for the Flower and Garden festival, but is fabulous for any spring or summer excursion to the parks!
The little details throughout the line are adorable, including the adorable lace faux Peter Pan collar, and tiny Minnie Mouse print on this dress.
Of course I wouldn’t wear these adorable lace Jessica Simpson heels to the parks, but I would totally wear this in “real life!”
As it is the first week of December, I realize that it’s time to exchange my Fall outfits for my favorite festive wintery clothes, but before I do, I have to share what may just be my absolute favorite fall dress, as well as the story behind the rustic display in my backyard.
My family’s roots are in rural Illinois, but they have lived all over the world. From India to Spain to South America, and finally, Miami. While my uncle was in town for Thanksgiving, he helped me put up a few items we brought with us from my Great-grandfather’s farm. The hardest part of this project was digging out enough dirt to put the pump into the ground. In the end, it came together wonderfully, and is a beautiful reminder of my roots, and that hard work is always worth it.
Now onto this fabulous outfit! This Lush dress from Nordstrom is sooo cute, and because the material is so light it is perfect for a warm Miami Fall. I did have to tack the front together to avoid a severe wardrobe malfunction, but I adore the keyhole that perfectly frames my monogram necklace. My Jack Rogers flats are the perfect fall flat, and have been one of my favorites all season!
So say goodbye to fall foliage, and hello to the cozy Christmas season!
In this week spent thinking of things to be thankful for, I have realized that there are some things that are really easy to be thankful for such as, pretty clothes, lovely people, and yummy food! Other things are not so easy to be grateful for. Today I’m writing about something very important that I often complain about, when really it is such a blessing: being busy!
I often complain about having no down time between school, blogging, meet-ups, performances, college applications, work, and auditions, but these are all wonderful things. Everything that’s stressing me out right now is getting me one step closer to achieving my goals, and that is a wonderful thing! I am so grateful that everything I want to achieve in life requires hard work because in this world full of instant gratification, there is also little satisfaction, and I know that my hard work will all be worth it in the end.
The perfect illustration of this would be the Princess Half Marathon.I had been dreaming about this race for years, even before I was old enough to actually register for it! Running it was a dream come true, but training was NOT. I had moments where I seriously thought I wouldn’t be able to finish the race, but once we got there, I ran the entire 10 k and only walked a couple of miles during the half! Even if you aren’t the most athletic person in the world, I suggest you do at least one race that really inspires you, because it will change you as a person.
I am thankful for the many hours I’ve spent practicing, writing, taking pictures, studying, and working hard! I hope that you will take the time to stop and think about what a blessing it s to be able to work towards accomplishing your dreams, while some people can only work towards staying alive. With this in mind, continue working hard, and help those around you work hard as well!
Summer is all about flowy sundresses, drippy ice-cream cones, and spontaneous adventures with friends. This weekend, one of my best friends, Lea, my mom, and I, made our way down to Key West!
In the 15 years we’ve lived in Miami, we’d always talked about driving down there, but never actually made it until this point. Since Key West is about 3 hours away, we decided we’d leave early in the morning, and head home after sunset. Upon arrival, I instantaneously fell in love with the pastel color pallet of the island homes.
We visited all of the highlights, of course including the Southernmost Point in the U.S. as well as the Hemingway house!
Our adventurous and scorching hot day ended with some yummy ice-cream, and a beautiful sunset.
For our exciting day, I decided on this comfy and cute poplin dress from Old Navy.Though I rarely shop at Old Navy, I couldn’t resist this fun print when I spotted it through the window! I added a tiny Dutch braid to the front of my hair to act as a natural headband, threw on some white sandals and was ready to go!
What has been your favorite summer adventure so far? –PS

Sunday was the first day of summer which is of course, National Wear your Lilly Day! In honor of the third best day of the year (Christmas, Easter, my birthday.. Well it’s up there!) I decided to do a post all about my love of Lilly. I found out about Lilly Pulitzer a few years ago, and was automatically the brand’s, “Biggest Fan!” My, “First Impression,” of Lilly was that it was my very being personified into a clothing line. The bright colors and patterns bring so much joy into my life, and I can’t help but feel beautiful in them!
There are few things in life more exciting than a new Lilly dress! While some people do crossword puzzles or play Sudoku, I keep my mind sharp by looking for cute hidden animals in all of the prints, and of course, trying to, “Find The Lilly.”
Now onto this specific dress. If you know anything about the Lilly for Target colab, you know how quickly these items flew, and how so many people were selling items for triple their value online. This sweet shift in, “My Fans,” was an online exclusive that I thought had evaded me, since by the time I woke up at 6 am, everything in my size was sold out. I snagged a few pieces at my local Target, and was content with my finds. You can imagine my surprise when last week, about 2 months after Pink Sunday, my mom had this shift in a size 2 in pristine condition hanging on my closet!
Before you ask, no, she didn’t pay a ridiculous amount of money for it. It was returned to Target by some wonderful lady who it didn’t work for! Thank you for returning it so that I could find my favorite piece from the line! So don’t give up if you haven’t found your dream item yet. There’s still hope! What was your favorite item from the Lilly For Target colab? -PS
