Breezy and In Between-y

Miami has been, “The Twilight Zone,” when it comes to weather these past couple of weeks, or like an old Katy Perry song, “you’re hot then you’re cold!” I unfortunately have seasonal allergies, so inconsistent temperatures usually get me sick, as a singer, that’s no good! I’ve been trying my hardest to stay healthy, and as I’ve been through this before, I’ve picked up a couple of tricks to boost your immune system!

The most important thing is to drink! Before you get excited, I’m talking about water and hot tea! Some of my favorite types of tea have been green tea and Echinacea. Another precautionary measure is gargling salt water. This helps flush out any germs that may be lingering in the back of your throat.

Finally, I make sure to dress warm enough. Even on the warmer days, I have been wearing comfortable and warm clothes. My go to uniform for these in between days has been leggings, a button down, and booties!

This adorable fox shirt from Ann Taylor is nice and cozy without being too warm. This sweet hat, which was a gift from Austria, looked absolutely adorable with this. My Sperry booties and Kate Spade purse rounded off the outfit.

I hope that you are all staying healthy and cozy!

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Miami has finally started to get a little cooler! Yes we know, sixty degrees is by no means cold, but the cooler weather gives us a chance to use some adorable cold weather clothes.

I received this adorable and cozy blanket scarf for Christmas! I first saw this scarf on one of my favorite bloggers, and knew that I would love it.

I’ve always loved scarfs, but I was nervous that since I’m petite a blanket scarf might look a bit overwhelming, but paired with my Joe’s skinny jeans, I found just the right balance!

This beautiful brown Kate Spade handbag was also a Christmas gift, and all I have to say is wow… Be ready for a post all about this bag because it is seriously adorable and so functional! Well I am off to curl up with a good book and a steaming cup of tea. Happy cold front!

The Great Pumpkin!

“Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin,” has got to be my favorite fall movie! It makes a fun annual experience something magical, and very, “Charlie Brown.” Over the weekend, I got to visit one of the many pumpkin patches in my area to find my own Great Pumpkin!

This adorable scalloped navy dress is comfy enough for a trip to the pumpkin patch, and pretty enough for brunch with friends! It worked perfectly with my Kate Spade bag and Jack Rogers flats.

I have been loving this big bun these past couple of weeks. It’s a perfect hassle free way to keep your hair out of your face while still looking fabulous and put together!

{Fall}ing for Blush

When thinking about fall colors, the usual suspects are Merlot, Olive, burnt orange, and Garnet. Although I absolutely adore the Autumn color wheel, I’m a girl who needs a little pink in her life, no matter what season! So how exactly can we incorporate pink into our fall outfits? One word: blush!

If you haven’t noticed by now, I think this blush trend is basically the best thing ever. I’ve always said that pink goes with everything, and now the fashion industry finally agrees with me! I adore how olive and blush look together, so I knew my Simply Vera skirt from Kohls world work perfectly with my favorite Kate Spade bag.

My fall floral top from H&M tied the look together perfectly! This pair of Jack Rogers flats and this pretty gold laurel headband were just what I needed to complete the look.

You can check out how I styled blush in the Spring and Summer as well!

A Pink Dress, Pearls, and a Head Full of Curls!

You can’t go wrong with a pink dress, pearls, and a head full of curls! Most classical singers like to stick to conservative neutrals such as black and navy for performance; I however, am not most classical singers. I believe that there are lots of concert appropriate outfits that don’t squash your individual style!

When I saw this darling hot pink Kate Spade dress, I could envision it working perfectly in a concert setting. Pairing it with a pearl necklace gave it an air of elegance, while the fun floral pumps gave it an exciting vibe. When I was given the opportunity to perform at the beautiful Bakehouse Art Complex, I knew that this was the perfect venue to debut this look! How do you shake up conventional clothing? -PS
